Position Overview:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated financial analysis and modeling, focusing on Argus Enterprise software and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) methodologies. Your expertise in these areas will be complemented by your advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, allowing you to craft comprehensive financial models from scratch and enhance existing frameworks. You will also conduct detailed market analysis of local commercial real estate markets, prepare insightful reports on trends and economic indicators, and serve as a trusted advisor with a deep understanding of the factors influencing the industry.

Role & responsibilities

  • Argus Enterprise Mastery: Utilize Argus extensively to develop and refine financial models for real estate assets, ensuring accuracy in cash-flow projections and asset valuations.
  • DCF Modeling: Construct and analyze DCF models to evaluate investment opportunities and asset performance, providing actionable insights based on thorough analysis.
  • Financial Modeling: Leverage advanced Excel functions (SUM, NPV, IRR, VLOOKUP) to create and enhance sophisticated financial models, supporting investment decisions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of local real estate markets, focusing on employment statistics, industry trends, and demographic insights to support financial modeling efforts.
  • Reporting & Insights: Prepare and present comprehensive reports to clients and management, offering strategic insights and recommendations based on Argus and DCF analyses.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams during acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects, ensuring alignment of research efforts with business objectives.
  • Communication: Effectively convey complex financial concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, managing multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field; CFA or FRM qualifications preferred.
  • Experience: 2-6 years of experience in financial modeling, with a strong foundation in Argus and DCF methodologies, equity research, or investment banking.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience in managing workload effectively, producing high-quality reports, and driving impactful programs.
  • Market Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of local real estate markets and macroeconomic trends, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on actionable insights from Argus and DCF analyses.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant database systems, with extensive experience in Argus software.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven leadership capabilities, including effective communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
