Technical Project Manager (India-based)

Location: Bangalore/Chennai, India

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager in India to drive cloud-based software delivery for our higher education client. You will manage distributed engineering squads and ensure seamless global collaboration.

This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, and MySQL to guide technical teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership:

    • Manage multiple India-based squads (contract and full-time).
    • Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Cross-Shore Collaboration:

    • Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with U.S. engineering and product leaders.

  • Technical Planning & Execution:

    • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions with architects and senior engineers.
    • Participate in architecture/design reviews and assist with code reviews and troubleshooting.
    • Hands-on expertise required in:
      • Python/Django
      • PostgreSQL & MySQL
      • AWS Cloud Infrastructure
