Cardiac Anesthesiology Technician Job Description
Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Anesthesiology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment, including anesthesia machines, monitors, intravenous lines, and other necessary supplies
  • Patient Preparation: Assist in the preparation of patients for cardiac procedures requiring anesthesia
  • Anesthesia Administration: Assist the cardiac anesthesiologist in administering anesthesia medications, such as intravenous anesthetics, inhalation agents, and muscle relaxants
  • Intraoperative Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during cardiac procedures
  • Airway Management: Assist in airway management, including intubation, extubation, and the placement of invasive monitoring lines
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist in the management of cardiac emergencies or complications that may arise during anesthesia administration or surgery
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and knowledge of anesthesia equipment and procedures
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Certification: Current certification as a Certified Anesthesia Technologist (CAT)
