Risk Management Director

Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks across our international markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop effective controls to mitigate them.
- Provide strategic risk advice to senior management and business leaders to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, risk partners, and external auditors.
- Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, and issues management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- 6+ years of experience in operational risk management, with a strong understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
- Experience in monitoring and control of services provided for outsourced Information Technology activities.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior BU/tech counterparts.
- Expertise in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards.
- Experience within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous.
- Experience in audit (directly or through external auditors) and performance reviews of technology service providers.
- Experience in at least one of the following: assessing the needs of business unit leaders to ensure sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management and controls, compiling and sharing best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiatives, coordinating with product development and service delivery teams to embed operational risk considerations into the product lifecycle and service operations, facilitating operational risk awareness and education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectively.
