Job Title: Lead Medical Coding Professional

We are seeking an experienced medical coding leader to oversee daily operations and drive team success in Noida.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have over 17+ years of experience in medical coding, with a proven track record of managing large teams of 250 to 600 coders.

  • Certification from AAPC or AHIMA is required, along with strong leadership capabilities, client handling experience, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and medical coding industry.
  • The selected professional will be responsible for overseeing workload and staffing, hiring, disciplining, and performance appraisals, training, and monitoring quality of work.
  • Additionally, they will develop long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs, ensuring their implementation and evaluating the impact of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures.
  • The role also involves designing and implementing systems and methods to improve data accessibility, identifying, assessing, and resolving problems, preparing administrative reports, and overseeing coding compliance programs.
  • Key responsibilities include ensuring dissemination and communication of regulatory, policy, and guideline changes, conducting and overseeing coding audit efforts, coordinating monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy, and reporting non-compliance issues detected through auditing and monitoring.
  • Trend analysis to identify patterns and variations in coding practices is also a critical aspect of this role, as well as reviewing claim denials and rejections pertaining to coding and medical necessity issues and implementing corrective action plans to prevent similar denials and rejections.
