Job Title: Tax Operations Manager

This role presents a unique opportunity to join our Global Business Tax Team as a Tax Operations Manager. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of tax advisory engagements, ensuring that all clients receive exceptional service and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tax advisory engagements independently with minimal supervision, driving results-oriented outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality tax opinions, short notes, and email responses on day-to-day clients' tax matters in a timely manner.
  • Manage tax compliances such as filing of tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, provisioning for income tax, and other tax filings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Take charge of tax assessment/litigation proceedings before the assessing officer, other income tax authorities, and higher appellate forums, demonstrating strong analytical skills and conceptual clarity.
  • Train assistant managers and executives for their professional development, creating a stronger bench within the organization.
  • Deliver clients with tax technology assets through licensing and/or internal managed services, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for end-to-end tax operate engagements, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage internal client codes from the standpoint of time logging, invoicing, and collections, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Drive business development, identifying new opportunities and mining existing ones to expand our market reach and customer base.
  • Collaborate with other tax services lines/business functions for multi-disciplinary client requirements, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
Desired Qualifications:
  • CA - 4-7 years' experience in Direct Taxation, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills, with an eye for details and innovation thinking.
  • Excellent time and cost management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
