Web Engineer Manager Job Description

Serving as a seasoned Web Engineer Manager, you will lead our team of elite software engineers in solving complex technical problems and transforming customer ideas into successful products.

We are a product engineering company that works with innovative startups and enterprises, providing full-stack product development for 110+ customers across the globe. Our expertise lies in cloud-native, data engineering, B2B SaaS, IoT & Machine Learning spaces.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Extensive experience with Drupal architecture, APIs, and module development exceeding 10 years.
  • Proficiency in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js).
  • A deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with website Search technologies like OpenSearch, Solr, and Elastic Search.
  • DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the building of scalable and maintainable solutions for existing websites using modular and reusable components.
  • Driving new development efforts for component-based website systems while ensuring integration with our content management system.
  • Providing high-level direction on front-end architecture and technical design/implementation of our websites.
  • Maintaining and improving overall performance of our websites while ensuring compliance with current standards and best practices.
  • Reviewing team designs and providing feedback on deployment safety, resilience, scale, performance, and security.
  • Facilitating feedback and discussions with Product and UX Design on customer needs, user experience, implementation efficiency, and performance.
  • Ensuring all changes are fully tested before being deployed.
  • Ensuring deployment plans are well-considered and include appropriate scalability and load tests.
