High-Performance Ethernet Solution Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Engineer (Linux-Ethernet) to join our team. As an embedded engineer with 6-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance Ethernet solutions.

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of IEEE 802.3 standards including 10/100/1000BASE-T, 2.5G/5G/10GBASE-T, NBASE-T, and Fiber Optics.

  • Ethernet Standards: In-depth understanding of PCS, PMA, PMD, Auto-negotiation, Link Training, FEC, and Loopbacks.
  • Ethernet PHY ICs: Proficiency in internal blocks such as MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR.
  • Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs): Experience with Layer 2 Switching Concepts including MAC address learning, VLANs (802.1Q), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), and IGMP Snooping.
  • Debugging Skills: Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Additional Requirements: Familiarity with Ethernet switch architectures & features, QoS, traffic shaping, port mirroring, PTP/NTP; Linux kernel development, device drivers, network stack; scripting languages Python, Bash for test automation and data analysis; network test equipment traffic generators, network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark); MPU/MCU/OS Microchip VSC, experience with IStax and WebStax, Redboot, uBoot.
