OpenShift Virtualization Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in OpenShift Virtualization to fill this challenging role.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and operating OpenShift Virtualization environments, as well as troubleshooting issues related to OpenShift to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and operate OpenShift Virtualization environments
  • Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Understand and adhere to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management
  • Manage Windows Servers, including patch management
  • Have a strong understanding of networking principles and practices
  • Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC)
  • Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers
  • Deploy, operate, decommission, and migrate virtual machines (V2V and P2V), managing the lifecycle of virtual machines in OpenShift and VMware
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in OpenShift Virtualization and containerization
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and practices
  • Proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management
  • Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers
  • Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC)
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift and resolve them efficiently
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
