Job Title: Principal Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Design Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).

They will be responsible for leading the development of new product designs, ensuring that they meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Additionally, they will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the design process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on DFM and DFA.
  • Proficiency in Creo and Solid Works, with hands-on experience in PLM/PDM preferably Windchill.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  • Well-versed in MS Powerpoint, Excel, and data analysis/advanced operations.
  • Experience in creating production drawings using GD&T.
  • Tol-stack up studies for dimensional analysis using tools like excel and CETol.
  • Experience in concept development and prototyping.
  • DFMEA, PFMEA, and design control procedures.
  • Project management skills to develop clear project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Engineering change management and sustenance engineering.
  • Understanding of supplier quote validation.
  • Good manufacturing knowledge for materials such as plastic, metals, packaging, and sheet metal.
