Product SME Job Description

The role of a Product SME involves bridging the sales, product, and demo engineering teams to design realistic demo scenarios and define business outcomes.

This position requires close collaboration with the Demo COE, Product, and Infra teams to ensure all demos align to practical workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating detailed demo scenarios, scripts, and storyboards tailored to specific workflows (claims, enrollment, eligibility, pharmacy, provider).
  • Curating and validating synthetic demo data.
  • Collaborating with engineers to ensure all scenarios reflect actual product capabilities and value.
  • Defining talk tracks, metrics for demo success, and acceptance criteria.
  • Leading or co-leading client demos, gathering feedback, and iterating scenarios/templates accordingly.
  • Training Sales and Product teams on demo delivery and scenario alignment to business requirements.
  • Capturing post-demo feedback and contributing to knowledge and template updates.

Qualifications and skills required for this role include:

  • A minimum of 14+ years of overall experience.
  • Experience in healthcare product management/consulting.
  • A deep understanding of claims adjudication, provider, or PBM processes.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with SaaS or demo environments is a plus.
