Job Profile:

A Meter Reader Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient collection of utility data by leading a team of meter readers. They must ensure accurate readings, identify irregularities, and troubleshoot issues to maximize operational efficiency.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of meter reading procedures and equipment, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with meter readers to discuss goals, provide guidance, and address any concerns
  • Monitor and analyze meter reading data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of meter readings and perform regular audits to ensure quality control
  • Provide training and support to meter readers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as business administration or engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the utility industry
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions
