Director of Design

Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Design to lead our UI/UX team. This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the overall design vision and strategy for our digital products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design, at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of UI/UX designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Strategy: Define and communicate the UI/UX design vision, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.
  • Design Execution: Develop comprehensive design strategies that balance aesthetics, usability, and functionality to create exceptional user experiences.
  • User Research & Testing: Oversee the creation and execution of user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
  • Systems: Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all platforms, products, and features.
  • Management: Manage design deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Trends & Innovation: Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the design team and the organization.
  • Communication: Present design concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles, interface design, and visual design.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Axure, etc.). Expertise in wireframing, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Credentials: Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
