About the Role

This position oversees the research and development function, focusing on innovation, product development, and technical excellence.

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision:
  1. Define R&D Strategy: Align with overall business objectives and develop a comprehensive plan for research initiatives.
  2. Prioritize Research Projects: Collaborate with executive leadership to identify key areas of focus and allocate resources accordingly.
  3. Develop Business Cases: Create detailed proposals for new product innovations and improvements, including market analysis and financial projections.
  • R&D Management:
  1. Lead the R&D Team: Mentor and manage a team of researchers and developers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  2. New Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  3. R&D Budgets: Monitor and manage budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  1. Interdepartmental Communication: Foster strong relationships with production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product readiness and market fit.
  2. Technology Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring efficient implementation of new technologies.

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with scientific, technological, and market trends to ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
  2. Documentation and Certification: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure certification and audit-readiness of R&D processes.
