Job Title

A Data Engineering Leader is required to lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing and deploying scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust data processing workflows using PySpark and Python, leveraging functional programming concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integration solutions for structured and unstructured data.
  • Lead the development of data engineering standards, code reviews, and documentation to ensure best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience in Scala programming, with expertise in functional programming concepts.
  • Extensive experience working with Apache Spark, including Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing tasks, with solid understanding of distributed computing.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, with excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to establish and enforce data engineering standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience working with Databricks or similar cloud-based Spark platforms, with familiarity with data storage technologies like HDFS, S3, Delta Lake, and relational/non-relational databases.
