Actuarial Analyst

The primary role of an Actuarial Analyst is to analyze and interpret complex data related to employee benefits. This involves utilizing advanced mathematical models, statistical techniques, and actuarial science principles to calculate present values of liabilities, forecast future trends, and prepare accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities include conducting IAS-19 valuations, performing regular assessments of gratuity plans and post-employment benefits in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS-19). Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills to manipulate large datasets and enhance complex actuarial models.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field, with 6-12 months of prior job experience in actuarial analysis. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is highly desirable.

  • Conduct Valuations: Regularly assess and report on the value of gratuity plans and other post-employment benefits in line with IAS-19.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate and analyze large datasets and develop complex actuarial models.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to employee benefits for stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and provide clear explanations for any deviations or variances.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members to gather information, validate assumptions, and reconcile discrepancies in data.
