We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airfield Engineer to lead our aviation team. This role offers the opportunity to grow with our organization and take on additional responsibilities as the team expands.

CORE Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee airfield civil engineering project design, ensuring that all projects meet high standards of quality and safety.
  • Direct junior team members in their work, planning and managing multiple technical engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for airfield engineering projects both locally and internationally.
  • Participate in technical design reviews to guarantee compliance with WSP quality management requirements.
  • Contribute to the design process by providing expert technical input and communicating effectively with team members, industry partners, and clients.
  • Identify and manage design risks, issues, and Request for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor project progress and contribute to project controls.
  • Maintain high standards of technical quality and meet client deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

This position requires a candidate with strong technical expertise to enhance and develop our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Civil Engineering projects at airports and hold a degree in Civil Engineering.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure design at airports.
  • Proven experience working on large, complex airport projects.
  • Track record of managing engineering professionals in delivering technical aviation projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international airfield design standards.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
