Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our organization is looking for a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to take on the crucial role of ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts using manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using relevant tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain detailed testing documents, including STDs, STRs, SDDs, and SRSs.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and usability testing to ensure the stability and performance of our software applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for continuous testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish and implement effective test strategies and processes aligned with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cutting-edge tools and methodologies in software quality assurance.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance engineering.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language, preferably Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to design and plan test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure comprehensive coverage and control.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Exposure to cloud environments AWS, Azure, GCP, and containerized applications Docker or Kubernetes.

Qualifications and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in software quality assurance testing is highly desirable but not mandatory.
