Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Data Protection Specialist to manage our Backup Operations team and ensure data integrity, availability, and recoverability across all systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead daily backup and recovery operations across on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Mentor a team of backup administrators and support staff to guarantee high system availability and performance.
  • Develop and enforce backup policies, schedules, and procedures aligned with business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) strategies.
  • Monitor backup jobs, investigate failures, and resolve issues promptly to minimize risk and data loss.
  • Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to meet data protection requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of backup configurations, processes, and recovery procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal data retention policies and audit requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize backup performance, cost, and reliability.
