As a Condition Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support in the condition monitoring of rotating equipment. This involves utilizing various techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and video-scopy to identify potential faults and defects.

You will analyze and interpret data from online and offline sources to provide recommendations on maintenance needs, ensuring that major breakdowns are avoided. Additionally, you will contribute to reliability improvement plans and initiatives based on condition monitoring parameters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed analysis of condition-based data
  • Monitoring and analyzing condition monitoring, vibration, oil analysis, wear particle, thermography, etc.
  • Carrying out root cause analysis for actual potential failures
  • Identifying inherent conditions leading to rotating equipment failure through various operational machine condition monitoring parameters

Required Skills and Qualifications">

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Accredited vibration analysis training (Cat I)
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring data systems like CSI Emerson SKF and GE System1 SmartSignal, various oil analysis techniques, wear particles, thermography, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of machine condition monitoring, balancing, alignment, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with various vibration standards
  • Basic understanding of rotor dynamics, mechanical design, equipment function, and construction
