We are seeking a seasoned Fund Accounting professional to join our team as a Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely NAVs and performing various types of reconciliation between client general ledger data and market data providers, including custody and prime brokers along with fund administrators.

The ideal candidate will have a good blend of product knowledge and technology usage. Key responsibilities include accounting for corporate actions, booking of trading and non-trading accruals, pricing of portfolios, computation and analysis of profit and loss. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating with clients and relevant external sources for break resolution.

To succeed in this role, you will need to work under tight deadlines, maintain quality delivery as per standard operating procedures, and possess excellent communication skills. Some critical activities involved in this role include:

  • Managing open-ended and closed-ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
  • Accounting and booking of corporate action trades.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly GAV/NAV preparation which includes booking of capital activities, market value reconciliation, computation of profit and loss for financial instruments, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.

In addition, you will require:

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Good understanding of financial/capital markets products, such as equity, bonds, futures, options, FX forwards.
  • Hands-on experience working with MS Excel and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

While certification courses in financial markets/products and experience with general ledger accounting software would be beneficial, it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
