Job Description

Our organization is seeking an accomplished Automation Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in building robust automation solutions, working in Agile teams, and utilizing tools like Jira for test management and defect tracking.

As a seasoned Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing automation test frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Creating and executing automated test scripts for web, API, and regression testing.
  • Developing JavaScript-based automation scripts where required for front-end validations.
  • Integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Performing defect management, tracking, and reporting using Jira.
  • Creating detailed test cases, test data, and documentation for automation coverage.
  • Identifying test automation opportunities and contributing to automation strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensuring test scripts are reliable, maintainable, and reusable.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation.
  • Strong programming skills in C# (must-have).
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI test automation.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript for automation scripting and front-end testing.
  • Experience with Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management.
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of API testing (REST/Soap) and tools like Postman or RestSharp (C# libraries).
  • Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
