The Product Life Cycle Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of products, from inception to retirement.

This role involves coordinating between R&D, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure products meet market needs and remain competitive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for introducing new products and phasing out old ones, considering market trends and customer needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and production teams to complete product development projects on time and within budget.
  • Product Development Oversight: Oversee the product development process, ensuring that products are designed for manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends, using insights to inform product strategy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with applicable laws and regulations throughout their life cycle.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage product-related costs, including development, manufacturing, and support costs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and after-sales support data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in product management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management software.

Desired Skills:

  • Added advantage of soft skills (e.g., Teamcenter, PTC Windchill).
  • Professional certification in product management or project management.
  • Experience in sustainable and eco-friendly product development practices.
  • Advanced skills in market analysis and forecasting.
