Plumbing Engineer Job Summary

This Plumbing Engineer role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to design, implement, and lead the development of plumbing and fire protection systems for various building types. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems, as well as fire protection systems. They will be proficient in using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navis, and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement plumbing and fire protection systems for various building types, including industrial, manufacturing, commercial, residential, retail, laboratories, and hospitals.
  • Lead the design process for plumbing systems and fire protection systems, encompassing concept design, schematic design, design development, and detailed construction documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive plumbing distribution systems that adhere to current legislation, codes of practice, and client specifications.
  • Perform plumbing calculations and design layouts according to project requirements, and communicate regularly with clients.
  • Assist the team in preparing plumbing and fire protection design documentation and calculation sheets, and help junior engineers with plumbing and fire protection design modeling using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navis.
  • Take on a leadership role, with the potential of growing a team reporting to them.

 Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in designing plumbing and fire protection systems for various building types.
