We are seeking a skilled Social Media Content Creator to join our dynamic team

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our organization's goals.

  • Create and curate engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with our editorial team to repurpose and promote news articles, opinion pieces, interviews, features, and multimedia content relevant to current affairs, politics, education, careers, and culture.

Audience Engagement:

  • Monitor social media channels for trending topics, breaking news, and reader engagement.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a community around our social media presence, encouraging reader interaction, participation in polls, discussions, and feedback.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and traffic to the website.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance and provide actionable insights to our editorial team.
  • Use data-driven approaches to optimize content and posting strategies.

Brand Voice & Compliance:

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media platforms.
  • Ensure all content is in compliance with journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media policies and platform changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in digital journalism and content creation.
  • Video editing and graphic design skills.
  • Understanding of current trends and audience preferences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
