Job Overview:

Room to Read is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Associate to join our team in India. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring and evaluating our Early Childhood Education program, ensuring that we are meeting our goals and making a meaningful impact on the lives of children in developing countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for our Early Childhood Education program
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with program staff and stakeholders to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are aligned with program goals and objectives
  • Design and implement data collection tools and systems to support monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Provide regular updates and reports to program staff and stakeholders on program progress and results
  • Identify and address any challenges or issues that may impact program effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as education, statistics, or data science
  • At least 5 years of experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation, with a focus on education programs
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis and visualization, including experience with tools such as Survey CTO, KOBO Collect, or ODK
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with program staff, stakeholders, and other team members
  • Ability to travel frequently to project locations and program areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex challenges
