Job Overview:

Room to Read is seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Lead to join our team in Uttarakhand, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program in select districts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of Room to Read's ECE program design and be able to defend it in various forums.
  • Government Coordination: Attend government meetings, discussions, and committees on ECE and advocate for enabling policies and government orders in support of the program.
  • Program Coordination and Monitoring: Analyze data from the field, develop programmatic correlations, and flag off issues for larger discussion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or social sciences.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the education sector.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in a non-profit organization focused on maintaining high-quality work and low overhead.
  • Prior experience living and/or working in rural areas.
  • Experience working with government officials and AWCs.
