Advanced Design Engineer

This role involves driving innovation in high-performance core and IP implementation methodologies, enhancing efficiency and predictability, and improving quality of results through advanced technological applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global team to enhance PPA metrics
  • Utilize advanced technologies and tools to improve design quality and process efficiency
  • Contribute to both flow development and implementation of complex IPs
  • Address critical design challenges using Synopsys implementation tools
  • Drive innovation in high-performance core and IP implementation methodologies
  • Enhance the efficiency and predictability of the implementation process
  • Improve the quality of results through advanced technological applications
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge semiconductor technologies
  • Solve complex design challenges to achieve best-in-class PPA and TAT targets
  • Support the continuous advancement of Synopsys' technological capabilities

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of physical design, place & route, timing closure, and power optimization
  • Experience in low-power, high-performance design and advanced nodes under 5nm
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, and Python
  • A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of high-performance CPUs/GPUs and interface IP controllers like UCie, PCIe, USB is a plus

This team is responsible for developing innovative methodologies to implement CPUs/GPUs and interface IPs that deliver more performance with less power. You will work with industry-leading Synopsys implementation tools and tackle the most complex design challenges, contributing to the continuous improvement of PPA metrics and the achievement of best-in-class targets.
