Job Title: Program Officer

 

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the successful implementation of prevention services. This involves coordinating and executing projects aimed at teaching children personal safety skills, conducting awareness sessions with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders, as well as documenting field experiences in a timely manner.

To achieve these objectives, the incumbent will be responsible for:

  1. Implementing Prevention projects of Arpan on the field, specifically teaching children personal safety skills from the age group of 6 - 18 years in schools, and conducting awareness sessions on child sexual abuse with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  2. Documentation of field experiences in a timely manner.
  3. Adherence to operational protocol, including timely reporting of field activities to coordinators, ensuring regular reviews with Coordinator and Manager, prevention Services.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Education, Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in group work with children and adolescents, conducting sessions and facilitating discussions.
  • Ability to work in a large diverse team, creative and child-friendly, open to extensive local travel, multilingual with fluency in English.

Freshers with similar voluntary work experience are also eligible.

  • Salary range: ₹25,000 per month.
  • Travel reimbursement: ₹5,200 per month.
  • Therapeutic reimbursement: ₹2,000 per month.
  • Annual Training reimbursement: ₹5,000.
