Water Supply Schemes Hydraulic Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Design Manager with a strong background in hydraulic design and experience working on water supply schemes and irrigation projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for determining water requirements, preparing zone plans, designing pipeline layouts, and preparing hydraulic designs using Water GEMS software. Additionally, they will carry out investigations, surveys, design engineering calculations, and prepare working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes and irrigation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Determine water requirements for water supply schemes and irrigation projects.
  2. Prepare zone plans and water user association block planning for projects.
  3. Design pipeline layouts for water supply schemes and pressurized/Gravity pipe distribution networks.
  4. Prepare hydraulic designs for water supply schemes and pressurized/Gravity pipe distribution networks using Water GEMS software.
  5. Prepare L-sections of pipeline designs on AutoCAD and E survey software.
  6. Carry out investigations, surveys, design engineering calculations, and prepare working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes and irrigation projects.
  7. Work out item-wise bill of quantity for projects.
  8. Work out quantity estimation and bar bending schedule from drawings.
  9. Obtain design approvals from government departments and vetting institutes.
  10. Travel to sites/government departments for convincing, scrutiny, and approval.
  11. Develop report writing and presentation skills.
