Job Title: Senior Accounting Professional

A leading organization is seeking an experienced and skilled accounting professional to join their team. As a senior accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Management: Maintain and manage accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements for clients.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Closing Reports: Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports to provide stakeholders with valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • US Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns (income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, etc.) in accordance with IRS guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Advisory: Assist clients with compliance requirements related to IRS, state agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Cross-Border Taxation and Advisory: Provide advice on cross-border tax implications for US entities working globally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or EA qualification: Preferred but not mandatory. Candidates pursuing CPA/EA are welcome.
  • Professional Experience: 0-3 years of experience in US bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TurboTax, Lacerte).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
