Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, build and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid, applying reusable policies for traffic management, security, transformation, caching, and mediation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs, including versioning and governance practices.
  • Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, SAML, and SSL/TLS within Apigee policy layers.
  • Manage the API lifecycle, including developer portal setup, access controls, rate limiting, and monetization configurations.
  • Monitor and optimize API performance using tools such as Apigee Analytics, Splunk, ELK, and gateway logs.
  • Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Apigee Deployment Manager.
  • Develop custom policies and callouts using JavaScript, Java, Node.js, or Python for enhanced gateway logic.
  • Deploy and manage Apigee environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Create and maintain API documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing API solutions with Apigee.
  • Strong knowledge of API security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
