Job Title:

Quality Assurance Specialist

At our organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the end-to-end review of educational video collections. As a key member of our team, you will manage the quality review of video collections and collaborate closely with content development and production teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review animated educational concept videos for academic accuracy, conceptual clarity, animation–script alignment, and pedagogical value.
  • Understand and comment meaningfully on various 2D visual representations, such as animated characters, abstract icons, graphs, and metaphoric visuals.
  • Ensure all videos meet our standards for scientific/academic quality, accessibility, and instructional coherence.
  • Collaborate with both the content and production teams to resolve feedback and maintain quality through iterations.
  • Track progress across multiple active video collections simultaneously in the Google ecosystem (Google Sheets and Docs), managing timelines, assignments, review status, and QA progress.
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of freelance subject matter expert reviewers, ensuring consistent standards and turnaround times.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Ph.D in STEM, business, or education.
  • 3–6 years of experience in academic content QA or educational video production.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple short-term projects in parallel using Excel or other tracking tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot both content errors and production glitches.
  • Excellent communication skills—must be able to give constructive feedback clearly.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 2D animation formats and ability to give feedback on visual storytelling and pacing.
  • Experience working with cross-functional creative teams, managing timelines and content revisions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
