Technical Documentation Specialist

Job Description

As a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and revising Service Bulletins (SBs) for aircraft programs. You will analyze configurations to identify pre- and post-drawings, familiarize yourself with Airbus standards including S1000D, iSpec 2200, and ASD STE – 100, and perform technical analysis of criteria and related data sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise SBs as per requirements in the SBO
  • Analyze configurations as per Airbus SB standard to identify pre- and post-drawings
  • Familiarize with Airbus standards, including S1000D, iSpec 2200, and ASD STE – 100
  • Perform technical analysis of criteria and related data sources
  • Knowledge of SAP PCS and authoring tools, such as SAMM DACAS, TAKSY, GIDOCA, GYPSY, Airn@V, ZAMIZ, PASS SSCI, and APS
  • Aircraft zone and access study to specify work location
  • Carry out precise sequence of authoring process described in quality plan
  • Estimate timeline and make realistic commitment with project leader
  • Active participation in customer communication for queries
  • Maintaining quality (RFT) and KPIs for assigned tasks
  • Managing workload and maintaining OTD (on-time deliveries) and quality
  • Workflow process knowledge, including quality check, INC, and DCR
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods, such as 5 Why and 8D
Required Skills and Qualifications

B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering with aeronautical industry experience is required. Alternatively, an AME with airline experience and SB authoring background is also acceptable.
