About the Role

Are you a seasoned mechanical professional looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic offshore environment? We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical to play a key part in ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of FPSO/FPU assets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer to lead a team of technicians, fitters, welders, and specialists in performing preventive and corrective maintenance safely and efficiently.

We require a strong leader who can oversee mechanical systems onboard, including rotating machinery, static equipment, HVAC, utilities, and manage spare parts inventory. Additionally, experience in condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and watchkeeping across process, marine, and utility systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure the integrity of all mechanical systems onboard
  • Lead a team of mechanical technicians, fitters, welders, and specialists in performing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors
  • Plan, organize, and execute condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and watchkeeping
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Chief Engineer with 10–12 years' experience
  • 5+ years offshore experience, ideally 2+ years on FPSO/FPU, plus pre-commissioning exposure
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical systems onboard FPSOs/FPUs: rotating equipment, static machinery, utilities, and HVAC
  • Strong grasp of offshore safety systems and industry standards (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM)
  • Proven leadership experience supervising small mechanical crews
