Job Opportunity Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to manage electronic prior authorizations and ensure timely processing of oncology-related prescriptions. You will work closely with prescribers, pharmacies, and payers to streamline access to critical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage electronic prior authorizations through CoverMyMeds for oncology medications.
  • Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy for payer submission.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies to resolve authorization and reimbursement issues.
  • Track and monitor prior authorization requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Educate prescribers' offices on processes and payer requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on oncology drug access pathways and payer rules.
  • Document case activities accurately in CRM systems.
  • Work cross-functionally to support patient access initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience using CoverMyMeds for prior authorization processing.
  • Strong background in oncology medication access and reimbursement.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations and payer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with oncology patient support programs.
  • Knowledge of the insurance verification and appeals process.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
