Job Title: Unix Systems Integration Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Systems Integration Advisor to join our team at NTT DATA Services. As a Unix Systems Integration Advisor, you will be responsible for installing, customizing, and maintaining UNIX-LINUX Server operating system and system software products in support of business processing requirements for both On-premise and Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, customization, and maintenance of UNIX-LINUX Server operating system and system software products.
  • Evaluate and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and hardware.
  • Provide in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develop solutions.
  • Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
  • Conduct system analysis, configuration management, and develop improvements for system software performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Implement appropriate levels of system security, maintain security patching, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Perform incident resolution, problem determination, and root cause analysis in accordance with service level.
  • Recommend and implement modifications to the server environment, innovation, and ideas to improve.
  • Prepare standard documents and periodically review them for modifications.
  • Identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.
  • Maintain server inventory updated and accurate.
  • Maintain checks for server's backup and monitoring solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise for system transitions, migrations, and consolidations.
  • Understand and foresee implications of decisions.
  • Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Independently develops solutions that are thorough, practical, and consistent with functional or customer objectives.
  • Forecasts, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools.
  • Creates new procedures and processes to drive desired results.
  • Handles diverse range of issues that require evaluation of a variety of factors including current business trends.
  • Articulates pros and cons of an action in a clear manner.
  • Develops skills to analyze ambiguous problems.
  • Enhances own knowledge through understanding business trends and objectives.
  • Regularly interacts with colleagues or customers generally up to senior level management.
  • May provide technical guidance or influence the work of others.
  • Updates management on project/activity status.
  • Contributes to area by ensuring quality of tasks/services provided by self and others.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of overall experience.
  • 6+ years of AWS experience.
  • 6+ years of experience working in a diverse cloud support environment in a 24*7 production support model.

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS SysOps Administrator/Solutions Architect Associate Certifications.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification.

Work Timings:

  • Should be willing to work in a rotational shift with a 24x7 support window.
