The Access Management Team

The team builds the foundation for authentication and authorization across Okta-protected resources. Our mission is to enable customers to access these resources securely.

We develop Okta cloud services and client software that allow users to seamlessly login to devices and use Okta authenticators to access applications securely.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Windows Platform team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, secure, and performant .NET client applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product, Support, and UX, for seamless integration.

Gather and refine requirements with Product and Engineering teams for prototyping Windows client components.

Following best practices, contribute to technical designs, proposals, and architectural decisions.

Develop maintainable software components with comprehensive unit functional tests.

Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and security best practices.

Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
  • Develop high-quality, secure, and performant .NET client applications.
  • Contribute to technical designs, proposals, and architectural decisions.
  • Develop maintainable software components with comprehensive unit functional tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications using C# and the .NET Framework or .NET Core.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting .NET applications using tools like Visual Studio Debugger, WinDbg, and profilers or other platform-specific debuggers on Windows or Linux.
