Senior Renewable Energy Manager Job Description

This role oversees the Electrical design and engineering team, ensuring projects meet industry standards.

About Our Client:

We invest, develop, operate, and manage renewable energy assets consisting of Solar, Wind, Battery Energy Storage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of all Engineering & Design deliverables including drawings, equipment selection, design optimization, due diligence on M&A, financing transactions.
  • Leading the Electrical design and engineering of renewable energy projects.
  • Ensuring projects are compliant with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Leading the Engineering team for technical feasibilities, EYA Analysis as part of the bidding & financing support.
  • Designing Large & Extra-large size of Solar System and related Engineering with various types of Solar Modules, Inverters & Other BoS equipment for varying site conditions & regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing technical specifications for Solar Modules, Inverters, Electrical Equipment, Module Mounting Structure, Other BoS equipment, Site Civil requirements & other regulatory requirements.
  • Technical understanding to monitor the System sizing, Design calculations, technical evaluation, Preparation of Inspection procedure, User manual, DPR, Design aspects of all BoS Equipment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on energy projects.
  • Developing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Overseeing the preparation of engineering documents and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 12-18 years of overall experience with >6 years in the Renewable Energy Industry (preferably Solar).
  • End-to-end PV Engineering/Design experience.
  • Well-versed with EYA analysis thru PV-SYST reports for Solar applications.
  • Exposure on System Studies: E-Tap, Staad Pro etc.
  • Cable Engineering Software: ATHENA/Cable Pull Planner.
  • Engineering drawings: PDMS/ PDS/AutoCAD and Micro-Station.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Lotus Notes and Internet Applications.
