Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team.

  • This is a full-time position that will involve working on various infrastructure projects, including social infrastructure projects such as schools, hospitals, and community centers.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects. Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD) is also required.

We are looking for someone with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide structural design and engineering inputs for Social Infrastructure DPR projects.
  2. Review and finalise structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates.
  3. Carry out structural analysis and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and applicable international standards.
  4. Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions.
  5. Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects.
  6. Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates.
  7. Conduct a review of DPR deliverables (draft and final reports) from a structural perspective.
  8. Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, and international guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
