Boeing, the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems, is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join its India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC).

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Materials & Manufacturing Technology Integration team in developing and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes into the production systems for Boeing.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge R&D projects, leveraging new-age technologies such as AI/ML, IIoT, Cloud, Model-Based Engineering, and Additive Manufacturing to shape the future of aerospace.

We are looking for a self-starter who is not afraid to proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of materials science and engineering principles, with experience in shop floor environments and familiarity with MS Office tools.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a mechanical, production, manufacturing, chemical engineering, or aerospace field is required, with typically 5 years related work experience. A Master's degree is preferred but not essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering and technical activities in the areas of Materials, Process & Physics for various Boeing Programs.
  • Evaluate various Industry specification for materials and suggest alternates to Boeing specification.
  • Review of Boeing Drawings, part lists, process specifications, substitution list and determine the Engineering requirements in the area of Materials, Process & Physics
  • Support Boeing Engineering Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required as Basic Qualification.
  • Shop floor experience in Assembly / machining / finishes / Electrical domain, preferably in aerospace Company
  • Strong written, oral, and Business presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
