As a seasoned data professional, we are seeking an expert in database design and administration to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust database solutions that meet business needs.

  • Design and develop high-performance database systems that ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring seamless integration with various applications and services.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, including connectivity, performance, and data integrity problems.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to improve database performance.
  • Implement and enforce database security measures, including user access control and data encryption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and data integration efforts.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, cleansing, and auditing processes.
  • Document database schemas, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Expertise in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and database object creation.
  • Experience with database administration tasks, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
  • Knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud database services is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
