Job Title: Financial Accountant

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accountant to manage our firm's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fund accounting, US taxation compliance, payroll management for Indian employees, financial reporting and analysis, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Fund Accounting: Managing day-to-day fund accounting activities, including maintaining general ledgers, journals, and financial statements for the fund.
  • US Taxation Compliance: Ensuring compliance with US taxation laws for venture capital funds, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Payroll Management (Indian Employees): Overseeing payroll processing for Indian employees, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and audits, providing insights into the financial health of the firm.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that financial operations comply with relevant regulations, including fund reporting and tax filings for both US and Indian jurisdictions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting, or a related role, with a strong understanding of US taxation for venture capital firms.
  • Experience in payroll management for Indian employees, with in-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including US GAAP and fund accounting practices.
  • Experience with accounting software and tools, preferably QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
