About the Role

As a seasoned professional in Linux administration, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure. Your key responsibilities include:

  • LVM and Filesystem Mastery: Create, extend, and troubleshoot filesystems using LVM concepts.
  • Multipath Configuration: Validate multipath settings, add LUNs, and enable multipath for optimal system performance.
  • Performance Enhancement: Evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities through server patching to meet performance specifications.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Collaborate with hardware vendors to resolve issues related to hardware and operating system configurations.
  • Log Rotation and FS Management: Manage log rotation and filesystem usage, adjust permissions and ownership as required.
  • OS-Level Adjustments: Implement changes as per application team and DB team requirements at the operating system level.
  • SLA Compliance: Adhere to SLA-defined Do's and Don'ts while handling BAU tasks.
  • Service Governance: Manage services such as NTP, SSH, and AUTOFS.
  • Server Troubleshooting: Resolve server access and bootable issues, including fixing GRUB problems.
  • OS Migration Support: Assist with OS migrations as needed.

  • Strong foundation in Linux administration and management.
  • Experience with LVM, multipath, and file system management.
  • Familiarity with OS-level troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders.
