Job Opportunity: Senior Team Lead - Controls

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage a team of 15+ controls engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming and experience in airport baggage handling systems or parcel handling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 15+ controls engineers, ensuring skill and competency development through structured training programs.
  • Manage team escalations, daily resource allocation, hiring, and subcontracting activities to ensure project success.
  • Identify training needs and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement across teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Project Management, Service, and R&D teams as a consultant to drive improvements.
  • Monitor project risks and opportunities, driving improvements across teams through thorough FAT/SAT testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to department KPIs.
  • Provide technical oversight during commissioning and ensure smooth customer handovers.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (short-term) for project execution and team management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership with proven experience managing 15+ engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global, high-demand project environments.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities with a focus on delivery within time and budget.
  • Proactive, innovative, and improvement-driven mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field).
  • 10–12 years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens required; Allen Bradley a plus).
  • Prior experience in Airport Baggage Handling Systems or Parcel Handling Solutions strongly preferred.
