Chief Data Architecture Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design and develop scalable ETL workflows using Python and PySpark.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in building large-scale distributed data systems and handling big data. You will work with Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg table formats for efficient data management and proficient in Avro, ORC, and Parquet file formats for data ingestion and processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Engineering: Design and develop scalable ETL workflows using Python and PySpark.
- Data Storage and Processing: Implement HDFS, Hive, and Spark architecture for data storage and processing.
- Data Management: Work with Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg table formats for efficient data management.
- Data Ingestion and Processing: Proficient in Avro, ORC, and Parquet file formats for data ingestion and processing.
- Distributed Data Systems: Expertise in building large-scale distributed data systems and handling big data.
- Data Querying: Familiarity with Hive Metastore, external tables, and partitioning strategies for optimized data querying.
- Real-time Data Processing: Knowledge of DML operations over distributed data systems for real-time data processing.
- SAS SPDE Tables: Experience with SAS SPDE tables and migration strategies.
- Starburst or Databricks: Exposure to Starburst or Databricks platforms for enhanced data processing.
- Modern Data Lakehouse Architectures: Understanding of modern data lakehouse architectures and query engines for improved data management.
