Head of Department - Bachelor of Computer Applications

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of educators in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Direction: Provide visionary leadership for the BCA program, aligning it with industry trends and student needs.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage departmental resources to drive program development.
  • Student Learning Outcomes: Develop and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Collaborative Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment within the department.
  • Student Advising: Oversee student advising and career counseling services for BCA students.
  • Program Representation: Represent the BCA program at college/university events, industry conferences, and meetings.
  • Team Motivation: Manage and motivate departmental staff to ensure efficient operation.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science and Application / Information Technology, or a related field (Ph.D. / NET / SET preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level in computer applications.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a leadership role within a higher education institution (HOD, Dean, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in computer applications education.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Motivation: Ability to motivate and inspire students and faculty.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in using relevant computer applications and educational technologies.
