Job Title: Lead Quality Control Specialist

This senior role oversees and directs the activities of our laboratory to ensure they meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Captains a team of 30+ members across LC-MS, Nasal and FT-NIR analytical teams for regular testing/method validation activities.
  • Lends support to the Head of QC with daily updates, sample status, Lab management, training, monthly review meetings and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Routinely executes and approves different types of QMS (OOS, OOT, Investigation etc), identifies root causes and maintains lab compliance.
  • Develops and executes planning of analysis (Routine work, Method validation and transfer), data interpretation and presents findings to HOD.
  • A self-driven professional who makes informed decisions, has a keen learning attitude and guides team members to improve work quality.
  • Leads all types of QC-AMV work in absence of QC-HOD, actively participates in departmental improvement programs to enhance output and quality.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams like QA, RA, R&D and PMI to progress allocated tasks.
  • Remains updated on industry developments to stay competitive for LC-MS and FT-NIR techniques.
  • Complies with GLP and Health, Safety Environment system in Laboratory and faces audits individually.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites:

Preferably have the following skills but not limited to:

  • Masters or Bachelors in Science/Pharmacy.
  • Strong analytical knowledge in modern analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, LC-MS or NIR) with complex data interpretation skills.
  • Mixed work experience in QC, AMV and AD departments.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop team members.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic mindset with solid organizational time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Chromeleon 7.2 and Sciex software is an added advantage.
  • Good working experience in GMP and USFDA/EU audit faced.
  • Able to achieve deliverable tasks with minimum support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
