Job Description

As a seasoned QA expert, you'll lead testing efforts and transition manual to automated testing. Proficiency in Playwright or Cypress is desired.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of manual testing experience, including strong knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and defect management.

Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead QA team in manual testing and gradual transition to automated testing.
  • Mentor team members in test automation practices while maintaining strong manual testing.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks with Playwright or Cypress for regression, smoke, and functional tests.
  • Create and maintain manual test cases and execute tests, transitioning suitable tests to automated scripts.

Some other key responsibilities include conducting thorough testing across browsers, devices, and environments, collaborating with development to align automation efforts with CI/CD pipelines and integration requirements, and taking responsibility for automation strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience transitioning from manual testing to test automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks.
