Business Development Executive

Purpose:

Drive business growth in targeted industry segments and territories through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, customer relationship management, and timely support to ensure sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive sales plans for assigned verticals and territories by identifying high-potential clients, highlighting customer needs, and forecasting market trends.
  • Monitor sales targets on a regular basis, highlight deviations, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure alignment with sales budgets at the territory level.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities from multiple channels and develop pursuit plans.
  • Negotiate and finalize terms with clients regarding product specifications, payment terms, and timelines, obtaining approval from the senior manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in the territory to understand their requirements and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Identify integrated solution opportunities and report them to the senior management team.
  • Document customer specifications and forward them to the relevant department.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure order execution within predefined timelines and criteria.
  • Regularly communicate changes in order specifications to the concerned departments.
  • Ensure collections from clients according to contractual agreements.
  • Dispatch goods to clients' sites on time as per delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to policies and processes to enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer inquiries.
  • Establish service centers or identify partner agencies to provide prompt after-sales services.
  • Provide technical support to customers on after-sales issues.
  • Resolve customer complaints within predefined timelines.
  • Log and update customer interaction activities in relevant systems.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues during sales finalization, execution, and post-execution phases.
  • Liaise with distributors and dealers, escalating significant issues to superiors.
  • Effectively manage dealer activities, including stock booking, invoicing, and payments.
  • Stay updated on territorial developments and provide data to the marketing team on potential expansion opportunities.
  • Have one-to-one discussions with superiors to discuss future plans and requirements.
